WHAT TO PACK?

CLOTHES

Due to our climate in autumn and spring, it is best to bring plenty of shorts and T-shirts, warm cloths and weather gear with a few track suits for cool days and night sailing. The best is also to have sailing inshore suite. Winter glows and ski head hat, sunglasses, sun protection cream, hats/beanies etc. Shoes have to be soft-soled and non-marking. Sleeping bags are mandatory.

BEDDING

We provide sheets, pillows and pillowcases for the boats, which will be changed weekly and laundered in the local marina. You are required to bring a sleeping bag/duvet with you as well though we will provide extra blankets if needed.

TOILETRIES (not provided)

Towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, sun protection cream.

ACCOMODATION / FOOD
  • Accommodation is provided during the course on catamaran or sailing boat
  • All course participants buy food together on the 1st day, this is also a part of the course. Food which is bought will be used for preparing meals on board which is the practical part of the course. The cost of food is included in the price of the course.
WHAT DOES A COURSE PARTICIPANT GET?
  • Basic knowledge about food and bevarages, food supply, menu preparation and combining meals and wines
  • The basics of maintaining order and cleanliness on boat
  • Getting acquainted with boat's kitchen
  • Getting to know different types of cuisine (gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian cuisine, seafood)
  • A cookbook / script with useful recipes
  • Knowledge of boat parts and boat terminology (in Croatian and English)
  • The basics for assisting the skipper with boat maneuvers
  • The basics of sailing school
  • Basic safety on boat
  • The opportunity to change your lifestyle and start working in nautical services!

VISAS
  • No need for Visas for citizens of EU. Russian guests need VISA only out of season (1.6. – 15.9.).
