Motor Yacht course (Power boat)

RESUME

  • Suitable for candidates who have previous experience in maneuvering/sailing and navigation with a sailing boat
  • Course is conducted during spring and autumn
  • Course is conducted on luxury yacht not shorter than 40 FT
  • Course is conducted both in English and Croatian language

NAUTICAL COURSE - AIM / DESCRIPTION

The aim of the 4-day course is to provide thorough practical and theoretical training in maneuvering with luxury motor yacht. Previous sailing/navigation experience is required to join this course. Attendants will be informed about all technical specification of the yacht and about possible engine problems.

Starting base is city of Split (Ičići, Šibenik)

DATES

Every week in May, June, September. The course is every time conducted from Saturday to Tuesday. You can check details in the calendar.

BOAT / VESSELS

For the course we use a yacht not shorter than 40 FT.

INSTRUCTORS

All instructors are very experienced skippers with experience in conducting the courses.

WEATHER

Weather in Croatia in autumn and spring is very variable with lots of wind and sun. Average temperature in October is 17 °C, and in April 18 °C

ESSENTIAL FOR EXAM / NAUTICAL COURSE

  • 4 attendants per boat
  • Adults only (minimum 18 years of age)
  • First aid certificate
  • Log Book reflecting exam prerequisite miles
  • At least a C category license

What to bring along for the course?

CLOTHES

Due to our climate in spring, it is best to bring plenty of shorts and T-shirts, warm cloths and weather gear with few tracksuits for cool days and night sailing. The best is also to have sailing inshore suite. Winter glows and a ski hat, sunglasses, sun protection cream. Shoes have to be soft-soled and non-marking. Sleeping bags are mandatory.

VISAS

No need for Visas for citizens of EU. Russian guests need VISA.

BEDDING

We provide sheets, pillows and pillowcases for the boats, which will be changed weekly and laundered in the local marina. Your clothes can be laundered at the local laundry for about 2,00 euro/kg. You are required to bring a sleeping bag/duvet with you as well though we will provide extra blankets if needed.

TOILETRIES (not provided)

Towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, sun protection cream.

ACCOMODATION / FOOD

  • accommodation is provided during the courses aboard the yachts
  • food (extra): Pizza or daily menu in Croatia is about 5,50 euro, Beer/coke about 2,00 euro
  • all people on board buy food together. Money will be collected in cash on first day of each course week all in settlement with your crew and captain – regularly this amount is 50,00 euro

METHOD OF PAYMENT

The Registration Form is sent upon request, which must be filled in and returned. This filled application form must be followed by:

  • Bank confirmation for 50 % of paid deposit (banking details will be given on receipt)
  • The balance is expected 1 week prior to commencement date of the course, or if you pay from Croatia you can pay with any credit card until first day of the course

Get a Yacht master "A" license (up to 100 GT), hire a boat, become a skipper on the luxury yacht or buy a yacht!
