Yes of course, Croatia is a part of European Maritime council and Croatian maritime documents are valid all over the World, particularly because Croatia is traditionally well known maritime country.
No, that is wrong impression. Out of summer season sailing conditions are just perfect. High mountains on shore provide wind almost every day, and great archipelago prevents big waves. Bora wind during the winter can sometimes have strength of a hurricane (more then 150 NM/h speed).
In past 4 years Croatia has built one of the biggest modern highway networks in Europe. Almost all bigger cities are connected to highway. From Wien to Zadar fro example, there is about 700 km and 780 km of it is highway, so from Wien to Zadar one needs 7 hours by car maximum. Croatia has also 4 major airports situated on Adriatic coast: Pula, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik, and they are well connected with all bigger European airports. Some Croatian airports (Zagreb – capital, Split, Pula, Zadar) host several low fair airline companies. Such can be found in neighboring country airports:
- Maribor (SLO) - 4 hours from Zadar
- Trst (IT) - 2 hours from Pula
All chartered boats in Croatia have to have Croatian flag, so all employees have to be Croatian citizens but in 2 years, when Croatia hopefully becomes a part of European Community, we assume all EU citizen will have same rights.
